Part of my research includes a self-study exploring the experience of knitting. Each day I’m spending time knitting and observing what shifts or changes in my mind and body as I work. Working full-time while also trying to do my dissertation research means that most of my knitting time is on the bus ride home! For this piece I wanted something that was simple and I wouldn’t have to think about. I generally enjoy using larger needles because my projects knit up quickly and I get to use the soft, bulky yarns that I find visually appealing. I found the pattern on the Sage Yarn blog here.
