Telehealth Art Therapy

Cigna

If you are a Cigna member, you can book telehealth art therapy sessions with Dr. Altschwager through the Headway platform. Headway makes mental health treatment more accessible by connecting prospective clients with therapists who accept their insurance. Sessions are available on weekday evenings and weekends.

If you are a therapist interested in offering affordable services to clients by working with their insurance, you might consider joining Headway by clicking here.

Out-of-Network

If you have a health insurance plan that Dr. Altschwager does not currently accept, you may be eligible for out-of-network benefits. The way this works is you pay the full fee out of pocket ($100 per session) and Dr. Altschwager can help you submit a superbill to your insurance company to help you get partial reimbursement. Reimbursify lets you do to this right through an app on your phone.

Sliding scale

Everyone deserves access to affordable mental health treatment. If you cannot afford current market rates for therapy or if you lack adequate health insurance coverage, you may be eligible for sliding scale services through Open Path Psychotherapy Collective. Sessions are $40-$70 for individuals. I reserve a limited number of places in my schedule each week for Open Path members. Once you join, you can request sessions through this link.
